Door entry

Video intercom for apartment buildings

We replace old door entry systems with new Hikvision video intercoms. A visitor calls the resident’s indoor panel or phone, and the door opens from the app, with a card or with a code. In older buildings the new system can usually be installed on the existing cable.

What a new video intercom gives you

Open the door from your phone

Calls go to the indoor panel in the flat and, if you wish, to the Hik-Connect app. You see who is at the door and can open it from the app.

Fewer keys

Residents open the door with a card, code or phone. A lost card can be blocked immediately, so there is no need to make a new key.

See the visitor

The outdoor station with a camera shows who is calling. The touchscreen indoor panel can also show the building’s security cameras.

Older buildings and existing cable

Older apartment buildings usually already have a door entry cable. A 2-wire system reuses the existing cable, so walls usually do not need to be opened and no new cables need to be run. During the survey we check what your building has and tell you whether the old cable is suitable.

What we install

  • Outdoor station at the door. A modular system can take buttons, a keypad and a card reader. There is also an outdoor station with face recognition, which lets residents open the door with their face, a card or a code.
  • Indoor panel in the flat. On the touchscreen you answer calls, see the visitor and open the door.
  • App. Calls also go to the Hik-Connect app on your phone. We set up the app on residents’ phones.
  • Doors with a card or phone. The same cards also open other doors that have a reader from the same access control system. Those doors can be managed from the same app.

See the devices in the “Video intercoms” group on the equipment page and the manuals on the user manuals page.

For apartment associations

We help prepare information for the general meeting: what we install, how the door opens and who manages the system. The manager can add and remove users without changing keys. Together with the intercom we can install cameras in stairwells and the car park and a gate with number plate recognition. See the solution for apartment associations and CCTV installation.

For houses

A 2-wire video intercom kit suits a private house: an outdoor station with a camera and a touchscreen indoor panel. It connects with two wires and can also replace an old doorbell.

Support and maintenance

We have worked in video surveillance since 2007 and are a Hikvision Platinum partner. Technical support helps with passwords, the app and users. If the intercom or door stops working, a technician comes to the site; prices and terms are on the repair and maintenance page. Our work is on the references page.

How the work is done

1. Call

We clarify how many doors and flats the building has and what system is there now.

2. Survey

We survey the building on site and check the existing cable.

3. Quote

We send a written quote with the price that you can present at the association meeting.

4. Installation and training

We install the outdoor and indoor units, set up the app and teach the manager and residents to use the system.

Price

Prices are indicative and based on mid-range equipment. We give an exact quote after surveying the building, as the price depends on the number of doors and flats and on the existing cable. Prices exclude VAT.

The price depends on the number of doors and flats and on the existing cable. That is why we survey the building first and then send a written quote.

Usually yes. A 2-wire system reuses the existing cable, so walls do not need to be opened. We check what your building has during the survey.

Yes. Calls go to the indoor panel and the Hik-Connect app, and the door opens from the app. The door can also be opened with a card or code.

If you wish, we add backup power that keeps the door working during a power cut.

Face recognition is biometrics, and using it needs a separate justification. That is why we usually recommend a card, code or phone.
